Genesis Network to Increase by 40

Genesis Networks' Abilene-based software testing facility plans to hire 40 more employees by November. Genesis Networks opened Aug. 21 with 19 employees. It now employs 25, about half of whom were recruited from Abilene and the surrounding area, according to a press release from Abilene Christian University. The testing center originated from discussions between officials from the San Antonio-based company and Abilene Christian University.

Genesis serves three major clients in the telecommunications industry. After six weeks of operation, client satisfaction has led to requests for services that require rapid expansion, said Nadav Sela, Genesis vice president for professional services, through the press release. The 40 additional employees will begin by mid-November. "This represents a major vote of confidence from our clients, and we feel this is just the beginning," Sela said.

Genesis plans to grow to beetween 140 and 150 employees within 12 to 18 months and occupy the entire second floor of the Enterprise Building in downtown Abilene.
