PWP plans to add manufacturing lines, expand building to plastics plant
November 9, 2006
PWP board Chairman Leon Farahnik reciprocated his welcome to Abilene with welcome news for Abilene economic development leaders. At a luncheon at the plastics plant in Five Points Business Park, Farahnik said PWP plans to add more manufacturing lines and to expand the 112,500 square-foot building. But after the luncheon, he declined to reveal the number of lines now operating and the number to be added. The size of the expansion hasn't been decided yet, he said. PWP, which manufactures dozens of plastic items such as produce bags and trays and lids for grocery products, began operations at 6450 Five Points Parkway in late September 2006. Customers include major grocery retailers such as Wal-Mart and Costco, Farahnik said.
