DCOA Approves Contractor to Build PWP Expansion

PWP IndustriesRose Builders Inc. had begun construction of a $6 million warehouse facility as part of the expansion of a DCOA-owned building in Five Points Business Park that houses PWP Industries, a manufacturer of plastic food containers.
The company needs an additional 125,000 square feet of space. The portion of the current 112,500 square-foot building that is being used for warehousing will be converted to production space. PWP's success has resulted in it having to expand more quickly than anticipated. PWP has exceeded its projected employment numbers, increasing from 122 to 142 employees. Tittle Luther Partnership designed the expansion.
Contract negotiations for construction of a new road inside the business park will begin soon as well. The east-west road would lead to new loading docks at PWP Industries new expansion.
