For the 14th year in a row, Outlook Magazine has put together a definitive list of the most eligible cities for business. Members of this elect group frequently use their ranking as a selling point to bring quality expanding and relocating companies to their area. Businesses also use this trusted resource as a jumping-off point for beginning their search.

As founder and CEO of Outlook Magazine, a business development, lifestyle and leisure publication, Executive Editor Eric Kleinsorge has a unique perspective on the world of economic development. To create the list, he and his team culled data on many of the cities across the United States. They did a comparison of cities based on entertainment, fiscal Heath, population size, crime rates, education rates, unemployment figures, health rates and housing statistics. Each were given different ratios for ratings as they related to quality of life and business.

Kleinsorge said of the list, "Having run this magazine for 14 years, I have never seen such a high caliber of competitors as I saw in this year's group. The cities that did make it onto the list had to have excellent stats in almost all of the categories. We are proud of our work each year, and proud of the cities for their numerous achievements in economic development."

The list appears in Outlook Magazine's Choice Cities Issue, along with a more thorough explanation of the list-making process. The issue also includes special features on these top-ranking cities and a more detailed look at the reasons they stood apart.
