Community Services
When people visit Abilene, most comment on its strong sense of community. Although a city of only 117,063, Abilene prides itself on offering a number of community services that only major metropolitan areas offer. In fact, our size is a distinct advantage in that Abilene can effectively and efficiently manage its community services, while most major city centers have to cut community services due to internal city management.
